Our journey began when Jakob Sadar a student of mechatronics, driven by creativity and a desire for change accidentally scratched his father's watch.
In an attempt to fix it, he noticed something unexpected: the natural keratin from his fingernail subtly polished the metal surface. That small discovery sparked a big idea one that would soon transform into something groundbreaking.
Through relentless research and development, Jakob created OPS (Organic Polishing Structure) a revolutionary polishing paste made from upcycled organic waste.
Unlike conventional polishing compounds made from synthetic diamonds, OPS is
eco-friendly, cost-effective, and remarkably efficient reducing the carbon footprint by up to 55% while being three times more affordable.
This innovation gained rapid recognition. Jakob’s solution won national competitions and secured a top 5 place in innovation and circular economy at the JA Europe competition in Lithuania. It didn't stop there.
He presented OPS at EXPO Dubai as the youngest delegate in his category, became a member of the EIT Alumni, and was even invited to Brussels by the European Commissioner for Innovation as the sole Slovenian representative.
OPS Tech was founded with a clear vision: to redefine industrial polishing with sustainable materials and circular innovation.
Today, we are on a mission to expand internationally, collaborate with forward-thinking investors, and continue challenging the norms of a traditionally stagnant industry.
We're not just building a product we're creating a movement towards cleaner, smarter, and more responsible industrial solutions.
As Richard Branson once said,
"Starting your own business isn't just a job, it's a way of life."
